SING-A-THON

Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom

Class: Eagles Year: 2018 - 2019

This week Eagles have been working on their class enterprise. This started with a presentation to the whole school on Monday, where they shared the reasons behind their fundraising activities- to help rescue, protect and conserve the songbirds. Throughout the week, Eagles have been accepting donations, and in return have provided the children with bird pompoms and origami bird models. Yesterday, Eagles completed a 6 hour sing-a-thon, and sold out of all their products and cakes! We thank the whole school, who came out to support us throughout the day, and donated so much money. A big thank-you as well to all the parents, who have donated money, and made cakes for yesterday’s sale. Finally, to highlight the fact that the forests are ‘falling silent’ due to the trade of songbirds, Eagles have spent a ‘day of silence’ today- a much needed day of silence following the sing-a-thon!
